Trust Your Traveller

This is the near end result of a school project. the theme was "humans travel".

I put a lot of effort and and pain into this, cutting myself on those metal pieces a dozen times. (EMO lol) by accident though. It is heavily overdue, and i was ill the last week to and i really really need to get the finish off before my grade goes boom.

This piece explore things around the negative part of traveling. humans, we trust our machines and vehicles, but it cause problems. many many people die in traffic only to their own foolish feeling of safety. The bird and its rider are fleeing from something. maybe the other birds, or the volcano in the background. We run away on our big metal birds. nature kills us. it is the way it has to be. Can we trust our vehicles? but are not our vehicles just an extension of our bodies?

Various metal pieces cut out with a huge metal cutter, eye measured everything. copper polished, hammered and scraped then bolted together. and a very very soft metal i don't know the English name of. Squished down in some gluepaste, then painted with acrylic paint.
